Buckets of Hope
MO Disaster Relief has given out information regarding filling "Buckets of Hope" for Haiti. Each bucket will feed a family for a week. Our WMU will have two tables up Sunday am (one in the lobby area of Laker's Hall and one in the Education lobby) for people to sign in and receive a bucket with packing instructions. We will be asking for $5 to cover the cost of the bucket. The items to fill the bucket are listed for each family to purchase and instructions given for how to pack items in the bucket. It is estimated that the cost of the items to be in the bucket would be around $25. A $10 bill is to be put in an envelope and taped to the lid of the bucket to cover the cost of shipping. Total cost being approximately $40.
If people would like to donate money instead of filling a bucket (the full $40 or even a part of the $40) an offering basket will be available. We will use the money to fill other buckets.
Buckets have to be filled and returned to the church by Sunday, February 28. We have to have the buckets to FBC Arnold by that next Friday, March 5.
SBC Disaster Relief has a goal of 200,000 buckets from all of the USA!
Bill & I are securing 100 buckets for our church to start.
Sunday is Focus on WMU day. There will be a short video clip before the service about WMU and an insert in the bulletin regarding all the ministry activities of WMU during the past year. Inside the WMU insert will be an another insert about the "Buckets of Hope" with instructions of how and where to go to secure the buckets in our building.

Any assistance you can give for this project would be greatly appreciated.
Blessings,
Joan
