Worship Ministries

The worship ministries of FBC are here to guide and inspire the art and heart of worship which flows from within every believer. Authentic Worship, Art Education, and Outreach are the three things which the ministry as a whole seeks to accomplish. The ministries listed below allow us to do so. Sanctuary Choir: This choir leads worship in the 9:00 a.m. Traditional Worship environment and performs special numbers on a regular basis. This choir practices on Wednesday nights from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m.

Tech Team: These "behind the scenes" people are responsible for the sound, media and lighting of our worship experiences and special performances. We use a variety of digital, analog and computer based systems so, if you have a knowledge of computers or just enjoy playing with high tech equipment, this is the place for you.

Stage Team: If your passion is sweaty grunt work then this is the place for you! This team is responsible for setting the stage for our worship experiences and making sure that all of the elements within that experience flow smoothly.

Instrumentalists: The instrumentalists of FBC support the various worship environments and outreach events with their musical skill and passion. We have opportunities for instrumentalists of all sorts to lead out in worship, so, if you play: guitar, cello, violin, mandolin, keyboard, piano, organ, harp, horn, drums, bass, accordion, harmonica, kazoo, or nose flute, we would love to talk with you some more. Vocalists: If you love to sing, but more importantly, pour your heart out before God and lead others in their worship of God, then we would love to visit with you.

Handbells: This group which rehearses on Monday evenings for an hour supplements our Traditional Worship environment periodically and they help us “ring” in the Christmas season each year by providing a soundtrack of traditional Christmas tunes during events such as Hanging of the Greens. The ministry leader of the FBC Handbell Choir is Vickie Ellsworth.

Parable Players Drama Team: This team periodically performs sketches on Sunday mornings to illustrate the message through drama. If you enjoy acting, set construction, original writing, or costuming and makeup, this would be a great place for you to plug in. This ministry is led by Kristie Livingston.
