Senior Pastor - Jim Wheeler

Pastor Wheeler began his time in ministry, believe it or not, being called to pastor a small country church at the age of 16 years old. The calling on his life was confirmed by God during this process as the Holy Spirit added to the number daily those who were being saved, as this church was transformed from a body of 12 to well over 120 in a short period of time.

Pastor Jim then went from Bethel to Henderson, Kentucky, then to Ferguson. He spent some years at Harvester (which is where you may have recognized his name from), then to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then some time spent studying churches while working in the secular field. After a brief interim time in Warrenton, he is home. And our church is thankful to God for choosing him to be our senior pastor.

If anyone has ever met or listened to Pastor Wheeler preach, one thing is very clear, the man loves the Bible. He is not shy about how the Book can transform someone's life from the inside out, as his own family's life was changed through the scriptures and a little old lady that came to his doorstep to witness to his father back when he was a 12 year old boy. Pastor Wheeler also believes strongly in evangelizing, and future decisions will be made to make a Godly impact right here in our community, whether it be a Halloween fun night or backyard Bible clubs in the summer time.

Pastor Wheeler's vision for our church is to continue two different styles of worship, so that we may make the greatest impact by Christ through this variety of methods. He is going to work towards making young couples a main focus which will include offering more high quality Bible Studies.

We at FBC LSL love our new pastor, and we would love for you to come out and meet him too. Our Sunday services are at 9:00am and 10:30am, you will find the messages very refreshing.
